Isshuukan Friends. Specials

I'm gonna keep this review pretty short since there is not much to say anyway.

Every episode is the same, a diary entry on the right side that gets filled in as kaori talks about what happened, while the left side of the book shows some flashbacks of that scene. Therefore, there is no real story, since it's all flashbacks anyway. But then, why'd I give it 8/10?

Well, if there's anything to be said about these specials, it feels like an amazing way of looking just a tiny bit deeper into the MC's thoughts, which I guess isn't really character development, but we do get to ... know the MC's better, which I love.
The second reason is just the way it's built up. A single character, voicing the "thoughts" he/she has while writing them down, all the while a calm song is played in the background. It's perfect!

Also it's only like 15 minutes in total, if you're wasting your time watching anime anyway just watch it after you watched the main anime ok? :P

I guess it scores pretty low because it doesn't contribute to the story and is not in any way exciting, but its very heartwarming, and that for me has its own charmes

I thought this was a very cute addition to the main story. Seeing some of the diary entries is a nice touch and I enjoyed the music and illustration that went along with it. My only problem is that there seems to be only 5 specials, but 11. Now I could be wrong since they come with the DVD and I was merely watching it online, but I couldn't find episodes 6-11 anywhere. It seems like there would be more than 5 since the diary entries didn't get very far into the story up to episode 5, but it seems that there may only ... be 5. Good luck finding the rest! :)

Is this actually what she was writing all this time? That's a bit ridiculous if you think about it.
Every Monday morning, she'd need to read her diary to be able to '' her friends. There's two flaws with this:

1. Most of the stuff she wrote was a bit long and pointless, with every entry taking up at least a page. As time goes on, she'd have to read more and more pages. Think realistically: She's reading this before she goes to school. With all these pages it's going to take quite awhile. Most of the people I know don't have an awful lot of time ... in the morning, so how does she manage to read all of that, along with the normal morning routine?

2. Going along with the increasingly large amount of pages that need to be read, how in the world is she supposed to have that all memorized? The thought of being able to read that many pages and it all sounds impossible. The idea of eventually ing something specific that reoccurs constantly is reasonable, but ing everything in her diary just from one read just sounds stupid.

Then again, the fact that I'm making a conspiracy theory about Isshuukan Friends only shows how horribly my life has spiraled downward..
