Yesterday wo Utatte

Rikuo Uozumi has all but resigned himself to a bleak future, aimlessly working at a convenience store in Tokyo after graduating from college. His monotonous life is interrupted when the peculiar Haru Nonaka makes a lively appearance, frequently dropping by his workplace to befriend him. When Rikuo learns that an old college friend and crush, Shinako Morinome, has moved back into town, he reaches out to further their relationship. Unbeknownst to Rikuo however, Shinako is carrying painful memories from her past that were holding her back from accepting his feelings. Meanwhile, as Haru continually opens up to Rikuo, he discovers that she, much like him, is living by herself and wants to step out of her comfort zone into an uncertain future.

The past lingers long in the mind, and the future remains elusive. At a crossroads along their intertwined paths, these three experience what it means to let go of their feelings of yesterday and embrace the change that tomorrow brings.

If Scums Wish and Domestic Girlfriend had a child.

I think this anime is a pioneer in the field of seinen and slice of life, two genres which are my favourite. I recommend this to anyone who likes either of this genre along with romance.

The anime might feel a little childish at first but this anime gives off the vibe of Blue Period while merging into the romance genre, the show is slow in dialogue but its actually very crammed into 12 episode and a lot of emotions and stories are conveyed in as little time as possible. The main takeaway from this anime ... is "Value the present more than the past".

Mixed Feelings

Yet another first review used on this show. Really incredible that they had me so seriously for almost the whole season (despite not developing like, the two critical secondaries and one of the protagonists), character regression and slow burn and all, and then completely ruin the ending. Honestly would’ve been a 7/10, maybe even 8/10, but the last two episodes made me want to pull my hair out. Outstanding. If you watch it, stop at the end of E10. You’ll be thankful.

To be clear: I liked the main protagonist’s development, I guess; but why was everyone else in this stupid love zig-zag so stagnant? Every ... time I finally, *finally* thought they were changing, we went right back to zero. And I wouldn’t even mind the secondaries being flatter, I guess, since they’re romantic rivals (lol) whose infatuations with their muses were juvenile and needed to get shot down eventually. The characters felt pretty real! I laughed out loud a few times! And then everything got imploded, and now only the negatives are sitting in my head. This is a bad review, it’s just a rant. I’d have to revisit the first ten episodes already to the main good things about the show, and I literally just watched the whole thing. Christ.

The love is superficial for everyone, they just decide that they love someone and that's it instead of actually showing development of feelings.
There are so much characters loving the same persons and for multiple of them that it's a comedy at this point and for literally everyone there is no reason at all for their love. Not even physical attraction, it's just there.

This anime is just here to throw superficial drama with nothing interesting. The characters don't evolve and there are even past classmate that just show off to declare their love and bring more chaos before just leaving because otherwise there is nothing to ... say.

I do not recommended, this is really bad and it was a waste of my time.
