As a recent donghua binge watcher i really recommend this. If i have to describe the MC then he is a mix of OP Strength (Qi power) of Saitama and treasure love like Nami.
The first few eps are peak and is very action and comedy packed. But after a few episodes it gets very repeated; Xu Yang (MC) defeats the enemy or resolves the issue with just lifting a finger (sometimes not even doing anything). Even the enemies he and his disciples face either gets killed in the fight or his sect as disciple.
It is not recommended for Rookie Donghua watchers, but it is ... recommended for others.

Mixed Feelings

As a cultivation junkie I recommend this. Sure it's not like it's peak but what are you expecting from the cultivation genre if you know it. It is known for it's awful subtitles, arrogant young masters and loads of begging to be spared right after trying to kill the person you are begging to. Still although it gets repetitive this one skips all the needless bullshit and mc just solves everything rather quickly. Do NOT watch this is you aren't used to donghua (chinese anime) or it'll be very hard to adapt to. If you are looking for a donghua to start with I recommend ... soul loud or swallowed star
