Huh, so kodomo anime series lover are actually rare you say? Well I can't say that I'm both very goddamn surprised and somehow NOT too surprised that they would be rare on this app/site. However it's even more shocking to hear how even in your native country of ALL places on Earth, kodomo anime lovers are rare outside of children and elderly people from a Japanese person like yourself. Considering how Doraemon is considered THE Anime/Manga Character in Japan and how it's pretty clear that he is treated like GOD among basically all demographic groups in your country, this is honestly a pretty telling assessment to say the least. Wow so it's mostly just the teenagers in your country who are obsessed with newer shonenslop and exclusively view them or prioritize those series over other demographic and genre of anime/manga? Well that checks out, but the fact that they're the same as many other countries is kinda sad. Although I don't honestly care too much for Anpanman as a character or a series, as far as kodomo stuff goes at least (I'm more of a Shimajiro person tbh), I'd still rather watch and appreciate the guy and his show more than any stereotypical mainstream battle shonenshit anime we're constantly exposed to in America 24/7. Any day of the week. And that includes Dragon Ball, One Piece, Naruto, Bleach, Demon Slayer, Jujutsu Kaisen, Attack on Titan, or even the only battle shonen series that I actually like the most consistently, Yu Yu Hakusho. Seriously, I think we need more and more newer kodomo anime series being pumped out and promoted on a more frequent basis outside of mainly just Doraemon, Sazae-San, Chibi Maruko Chan, and Crayon Shin Chan and better quality ones compared to Doraemon, Kiteretsu, Pokonyan, and other Fujiko Fujio series and many other kodomo classics of the much older decades (70's, 80's, and 90's). However time and time again, it's just gonna be pretty hard to come up with a lot of things that can at least come close to Doraemon or any Fujiko Fujio series in quality, appeal, and likeability. But that's just me. People here in America need to be exposed to more genres of anime outside of their just "Shonen Jump" or "Battle Shonen" bubble. |

it's rare to see other kodomo anime series lover in this app, even in my country itself it is hard to see any person liked or favorited kodomo series anime, except for the children and the elder.
however, even though only a few people liked and favor kodomo series anime in my country, but i think everyone here (in Japan), knows almost all of kodomo series because series like anpanman, and other is very popular in Japan, even though only kid and parents or elderly who liked it. well the teenager here in Japan is actually the same as many other country, they liked newer series or other popular series like jujutsu kaisen or attack on titan, demon slayer, one piece, etc. I think i'm one of the few teenager here who likes both modern/classic and kodomo series (¬_¬") i'm just worried as the time goes on, kodomo series will be extinct (i think that was impossible because there will always be a kid series for the baby and toddler in this world) but i'm just worried that the fact in the future there will be no more legendary and famous kodomo series anime. i think kodomo series is helping the children brain to grow as it have it's own story and so the children will trying to understand it as the time goes on. It is clearly better than a kid show that just uses song and unclear story to entertain. ૮₍ ˃ ⤙ ˂ ₎ა |

I guess one reason I've been getting into Fujiko Fujio, NHK kid's anime, and other similar kodomo anime series (or any other comparable japanese children's media that exists) more than Sanrio (or even Hello Kitty herself) is because the former is far more underrated and unknown in the USA and Pokonyan itselfis extremely underloved and underappreciated and finding Hello Kitty fans or fans of many other Sanrio characters is actually pretty easy and common by comparison in my native country.

Oh and since you mentioned Hello Kitty, I do wish to inform you as a full disclosure that she is actually my other most favorite iconic Japanese media character besides Doraemon. For a while, I always traditionally picked Hello Kitty over Doraemon up until 2023, when my opinion on both characters started trending towards the opposite direction after somehow reconnecting with Pokonyan after playing his balloon game in a multi-game arcade cabinet in a trip to Taiwan that year and soon after learning more about the existence of other Fujiko Fujio series like Perman (which I ironically first heard of from some Doraemon hater on another board in 2017), Ninja Hattori, TP Bon, Kiteretsu Daihyakka, Mojacko, 21 Emon, Chimpui, and Obake Q Taro.
Sanrio used to be my most favorite brand/company of Japanese media of all time, but now it's just the third or second best, since Fujiko Fujio has since kinda replaced it for that title in my heart, soul, and spirit! All or mostly thanks to Pokonyan! or me ing that it exists or how awesome my childhood memory really was, that is. |

I guess the reason I feel disappointed over your initial rating of Pokonyan was because finding actual super-fans of the series like myself or even any Fujiko Fujio series or even Doraemon here in the USA or the Anglosphere or many people who even fully knows them in these places is pretty @#$%'ing hard enough for me as it is unless something drastic changes and Doraemon/Fujiko Fujio and other kodomo anime/manga series gets promoted here in the States aggressively than ever or something.

And there's a reason that I love and respect the Japanese (and Asian) anime/manga fandom infinitely more than the American (and Western) anime/manga fandom is because most people in the latter don't know jack squat about Doraemon even much less anything else from Fujiko Fujio nor most other similar kodomo anime or artistic anime for that matter that even iconic ones, that isn't the same boring tired crud we already get here like Pokemon, Yugioh, Digimon, Hamtaro, etc. and not only think Dragon Ball Z, One Piece, Naruto, and other slop from Shonen Jump are the single best series over and over again, but they literally treat battle shonen's as the only anime and manga that even exists time and time again. |

sorry to disappoint you (｡•́︿•̀｡). i like many other old character like hello kitty or kuronami, but too bad the list is limited so i can only add a few, later i will add it if i can increase the limit :3
i will add other kodomo series soon, just wait ────୨ৎ──── ahhh, the reason i gave Pokonyan rating 7 because i watched it when i was little, so i don't understand the story too well or the character. Don't worry, soon i will rewatch it again and give a new score ദ്ദി(˵ •̀ ᴗ - ˵ ) ✧ of course i like fujiko and fujio-sama, Doraemon is my favorite childhood anime after all. the reason is the same as favorite character, the list is limited. as for the studio i just add it based on my friend recommendation and not my personal favor. Oh and I hope you give other Fujiko Fujio series or any other similar kodomo anime series of the slice of life/gag variety (rather than shonen-esque crap like pokemon) a much higher score and a better treatment than Pokonyan!

Glad you have Doraemon among your most favorite characters (but since you're clearly from Japan, that's a pretty absolute low bar I must say)
But it's too bad you didn't give Pokonyan a much higher rating than just a "7" (like a "10" or a "9" would have been nice), since it's my absolute most favorite anime series of all time and it's definitely one of the very things that best represents Anime/Manga, Japanese media, or all of Japan and Asia itself. It's also a bloody shame that you don't have Fujiko Fujio or even Fujiko-Pro, Shin-Ei Animation, or TV Asahi in your favorite companies much less NHK or Animation 21 (Pokonyan's studio).
