Beyblade X 192vx

This new Beyblade X anime is coming with really good ideas.
The Opening and Ending songs are outstanding good, the soundtrack is 10/10 in some points that are more important for showing off.
If you did think Beyblade Burst was the most view of "if Beyblade was a real big sport", when then X is even more realistic than this in some way or another.
While the music is really good to listen, the art is not less enjoyable than the music, is outstanding good, any character seems to be more important now, and with their design, they hit it really well. 10/10 art and characters, and if ... you're asking about backstory for any character, well who cares. Very colorful with well picked colors that it may be wanting you to look at someone and took its inspiration, and even more if you are a child. Even some minor characters are looking just awesome.
The story is like any other Beyblades, teams, tournaments, some events, friends, eating, having fun, etc. Really enjoyable.
If you have a soul of a child and want to enjoy, have fun and relax, you can pick this anime. If you watch as an adult searching for serious things, then this is not for you.
Can't wait to see what this anime brings next episodes.

*The Animation is a big downgrade compared to the previous Beyblade Series before it (Burst Franchise).
*So far my only favorite character is Multi. I do not think the characters are well rounded enough IMO. Bird just loses and X feels like a battle crazed idiot for Beyblade but not in a charming sort of way. Besides Multi the other characters don't feel realistically well rounded enough to my liking, they need big turning point to change my mind.
*I heavily dislike this series as of the moment. Needs a big turning point because 22 episodes in and the supposed main ... character bird hasn't won a battle. To me that is a big turn off otherwise they better give him the biggest character development in the world.

*I get very bored watching it, reminds me of beywheelz. at least shogun steel got me excited but this is snooze fest. Bring back metal and Burst series for this crap. they better have a big turning point otherwise this will be the most hated beyblade series.

In the shows current state, it is absolutely the worst series this franchise has produced. Bird manages to be a worse main character than Aiga by being so laughably useless. There's zero stakes at all since you know he's always gonna lose, but Multi and X will ALWAYS win. This show took the great formula set up by burst, and completely mangled it. They kept the sports anime angle, but added so much unnecessary filler and social media BS that it's such a slog to sit through. In 9 episodes, this series manages to have less content than every other show before it. I am ... giving it a 1/10 for the time being as the current quality is unacceptable especially following Burst, but I hope that by the end this could AT LEAST be a 4 or a 5. In its current state however, there's just no meat to this.

As somebody who grew up with the original + the Gingka era and the Burst era, I feel inclined to give a review. (Oh if only Yugioh put for this level of quality..)

Beyblade X is actually pretty good. First the animation is SUPERB. It's really well done which isn't shocking because Beyblade has always had great animation.

The plot revolves around a group of 3 bladers who are determined to climb the "X tower" where the best of the best blade it out. The tower is the main setting of the show.

first you have Bird, an amateur blader who has no talent for beyblade..like ... at all. I think the writers flat out hate Bird. They originally play him off as THE protagonist. Like the underdog but he becomes comic relief very quickly. He's a really pathetic character. His Bey also doesn't suit him at all but they keep pushing it on him. You want to keep rooting for him but by episode 17 you just feel sorry for the guy with how bad he is at Blading.

Secondly you have [Kamen] X, whose identity is revealed within the first episode He is the main protagonist. Why nobody can figure out his identity is a complete mystery given how many similarities he has with who he actually is (his actual name is literally pronounced X)..he's a fun wacky character who is BFFs with Bird. He is obsessed with blading and feels like Gingka mixed with Valt.

Third you have Multi, basically a Tiktoker/Streamer girl. She's a beyblade pro and also a master Bey crafter. She has multiple persona and beys she uses in battles. She's cute and reminiscent of real life streamers/vloggers with how her online persona is nothing like her real self. Out of the 3, she's the one who doesn't really have much development, solely relying on her cuteness and knowledge to boost her character.

X and Multi basically carry the team like a WOW raid team consisting of two level 200s and 1 lvl 20. The show even makes fun of this fact constantly.

Other characters include:

a former beyblade pro who works at the Sushi place that X loves.

A old man midget sushi chef who is arguably the best boy of the show who once had dreams of climbing the tower but realized he sucked at beyblading. (But also is terrible at sushi and cannot just make normal sushi)

A young girl who idolizes Bird and is his only fan

And the usual reoccurring teams of Bladers who come and challenge the pro tags.

There's a central antagonist as well but he doesn't appear till around ep 18 or so.

The show itself is actually pretty entertaining and doesn't feel like it drags on as of ep 20.

It has solid humor, usually involving weird sushi like chocolate anzu bean sushi or banana mint sushi.

Interesting enough, the bey matches themselves involve more realism then before. The Beys are more like their real world counterparts and they even use a VR program to show the Beys "attacking" each other.

I really like this series more then the original, Metal and Burst era. It has more charm and doesn't feel like a typical Shonen. The characters actually have development.

My only complaint is the lack of new characters. You'll see the same enemy teams by ep 20. I get that its cheap to re-use the same VAs + designs but battling the same group of people over and over again gets old.

I really recommend this if you're wanting to try to get into Beyblade or are a returning fan. It's very entertaining as mentioned HOWEVER there is no English dub yet, so if you don't like Subs you're out of luck.

Story: 9/10

The protagonist's journey is particularly compelling, showcasing ... a blend of vulnerability and determination that resonates with adult viewers. The ing cast is equally well-developed, with rivalries and alliances adding layers to the interpersonal dynamics.

Artwork: 9/10

The artwork in Beyblade X is nothing short of spectacular. The series boasts a polished and dynamic art style that enhances the overall viewing experience. Character designs are detailed and expressive, while the intricate designs of the Beyblades themselves are visually striking. The attention to detail in both the foreground and background elements creates an immersive world that draws viewers in and keeps them captivated.

Animation: 10/10

Beyblade X excels in its animation quality, offering fluid and breathtaking sequences that elevate the excitement of the battles. The animators have skillfully captured the intensity and speed of the Beyblade clashes, making each battle a visual feast. The use of vibrant colors and dynamic camera angles further enhances the action, creating a sense of urgency and thrill that is palpable. The animation is consistently high-quality throughout the series, showcasing the dedication and talent of the animation team.

I loved Beyblade X in the beginning, but every episode gets worse and worse.

The show does not pay off any character growth. It claims characters grow in it's dialogue, but the characters don't gain or lose anything. And they never change their behaviour.

What I liked about the series early on was it wasn't afraid to showcase failure. I was excited to see Beyblade treated like a sport, where athletes working their way up face repeated and crushing defeats on their journey to the top.

However, after dozens of episodes, that plot has never left the starting line. Every episode our heroes face the exact same thing, ... a blader who is so good and so powerful. And every episode showcases the feeling of defeat in some way (either the protagonists or opponents). Except, there is never a real step beyond that. Characters never get better or worse, every character stays at the same skill level. Nobody takes steps after being defeated to get better or change their outlook. And on the occasions where the show does showcase training and self improvement, it never showcases a pay-off for that character's struggles. The show is genuinely very depressing to watch, as characters are dragged through constant failure with no path in sight.

Sometimes the show tackles self doubt, which was also exciting to see. Unfortunately the outcome of that is just "it's okay, don't give up". There is no attempt to validate the self, to recognize your own worth. Again it's incredibly depressing to see characters crumble beneath self-doubt, to relate to that so strongly as a viewer. And then for the show to not recognize the worth of that person, and instead tell them to just keep suffering and it'll all pay off in the end.

Keep in mind, this show is not dark or contemplative, it doesn't showcase these topics in any deep or meaningful way. This is a happy high-energy Beyblade show, with very poor writing. And the gaps in the writing happen to spell out "the world is all suffering and it's all your fault". It's not intentional or smart. It's depressing and hard to watch.

I want it to get better, that's why I still watch. But I am losing faith 36 episodes in.
