Is this seinen? I thought it was a typical shoujo "any girl can and wants to love" type of thing.

'Do not tag as Shoujo. This manga is published in Young Ace which is a Seinen magazine.'
'Demographic labels should only tell you one thing: what type of magazine was this published in.'

@tragedydesu It's a vicious circle, because this categorization is meant to show you what audience their content is aimed at. But I'm not going to question the categorization of this title, I'm more interested in the fact that it's aimed at older guys.

@RobertBobert Demographic labels can be misleading sometimes , some sites put them based on the target audience others based on the magazine

if you want to know the target audience just look at the covers , this manga is clearly aimed at young girls

@tragedydesu You're confusing the effect with the cause. For example, I don't know if this is true in this case, but shoujo authors often publish in male-focused magazines in the hopes of attracting an audience of both genders, since they know that men's magazines often have a significant female audience. Or alternatively, women writing battle shonens or romcoms, since this appeal allows them to be less inhibited in their style. Just look at the writing of the author whose Kowloon Generic Romance is being adapted this season right now.
