Where do I begin? This manga has been around for a long time. 270 chapters at the time of this review and the story is still deepening?

In a nutshell, the MC gets teleported (Isekai perhaps) to a fantasy world of women only. Sounds nice, but due to genetic differences, the girls are easily exposed to pleasure. This somehow leads to the MC having intercourse with the girls to save them, save the world, or something like that.

To my surprise, Parallel Paradise is not a bad series whatsoever. Yes, we all know the same author behind Elfen Lied made this manga with no short effort. The ... story has an impressive amount of depth and detail. There are tons of characters, and there is a fair amount of time to introduce them properly, get to know them, and stuff like that.

It is something like an epic fantasy world adventure with intercourse integrated into it.
The only drawback centers on the excessive levels of "banging" I found myself confused at times why it's needed, but the manga as a whole is decent. Just be wary that it is very graphic in of violence and human crimes.

Title: Parallel Paradise

Plot: MC [Tada, Youta] is isekaied into a world with 10 million women and he seems to the only male in it. This is the surface plot, but in reality it goes so much deeper. This is not 19 volumes of just sex. There's a lot of twist, turns and surprises that come and thicken the plot. Problem is, I can't go into detail 'cause it'll spoil. What I will say is that MC will go through a number of changes: from being a normal horny lad, to falling into depravity, ... to being saved, and then to possibly facing his past (not too sure since this is what I've read up to atm).

Scenery: Fantasy and adventure-like scenery. In this isekai world you'll see the usual things such a people living like the medieval ages and fantasy monsters (elves, dragons, golems, etc). There's a guy-girl ratio of 1:1M so you'll see girls every where and reoccurring sex. They all seem to wear clothes that have their groans covered, but exposed (like the groan hole in chaps for example, but wearing panties or a leotard beneath).

Genre:
Erotica - First and foremost, there is a lot of sex in here. There's millions women and a single healthy young male. There will be many explicit sex scenes and occasional orgies. To add, since there's been no male for 3,000 years the girls have "evolved" to going into estrus just at the touch of a male, among a few other special traits. Due to many of them have a strong, independent personalities, and the effects of sudden intense estrus, there are common "domination loss" moments. On top of the frequent vaginal sex, there is regular amounts of oral sex, and just about no anal. Here and there things get perverse when some of the girls have certain fetishes (such as humiliation, exhibitionism, and sadism for example). Occasionally girls will do stuff with each other. All the girls are essentially 18+ (if that matters to you) though you'll find a petite here and there. There is a large variety of girls and outfits and the author/artist has been great, in my opinion, at keeping them feeling unique. As for the MC, he's a fit and healthy male. He does judo and kendo. He is absolutely not a "beta-kun" and will have unrestrained sex with girls if he feels justified in doing so. He's a fairly normal person, though he can be crass and teases the girls. Sometimes playfully, but meanly, and sometimes he goes overboard to where even he feels bad.

Drama/Thriller/Mystery - It starts as an erotica, but as it goes on, the plot gets more serious, mysterious, and even personal. After reaching volume 18, I think I finally got a view of the overarching plot, but even then, I can't be 100% sure. I can't go into detail 'cause it will massively spoil, but there were moments when I was shocked, or even needed time to compose myself.

Fantasy/Adventure - MC and co will travel around their country throughout the series. You'll get to see a sea side town in the south, a desert town in the west, and other places. There's mythical creatures as well and apparently magic.

Action - There will be numerous fights. Sometimes it'll be small fights against "weak" monsters or other humans. Sometimes it will be fights against boss level antagonists. Each girl seems to have their own type of weapon they favor, and you will see people die in fights.


Thoughts: This has been such a ride for me. I binged 19 volumes over the span of three days since I couldn't stop reading. The girls and sex has been fun and the mysterious plot keeps me on my toes. This uncommon combo of mass sex and dramatic plot makes it special to me, but even then, I can't say it's perfect at what it did, though it might be in part because of some of the poor translations I saw. Started as a 6/10 for me, but it's a 7/10 as the plot progressed.


Recommend: This read is very niche. It's a (now-a-days) rare combo of erotica + plot. If you like plot, but are repelled by sex, or you want a fun light-hearted sexy read by living vicariously through the eyes of an MC surrounded by women, than I can't recommend this. There will be a lot of sex, and the plot is not light-hearted as it progresses. It's been over a day and I'm still crying on and off about what happened in the recent volumes. Sometimes the switch between plot to sex is even a bit jarring for me. I recommend this to you if you can enjoy both wild sex and dramatic plot as one.

I'm *probably* going to keep reading till the end solely because after over 200 chapters, I'd have a pretty annoying feel to drop it without knowing the full story.
That being said, this story enjoyed a pretty interesting beginning: A guy who gets forcefully isekai'd to a dystopian no-man only female world where women only live to their late teens. Now, I'm not really someone who gives a shit about age in media I consume so if you're thinking the age turned me off, nah, that was all good. Mysterious beasts and witches that no one else but MC could beat, not because MC is super ... OP or anything, but because for some reason most of the monsters in this world exist in games he's played before and share weaknesses from his world's fiction. The women are all powerful combatants and don't feel useless, there was distinctive plot, which seemed like it just existed at first but after the guy died and got brought back to his own world, where it is revealed he lived after being thrown out a building the first time and is just hospitalized, sure started to seriously rouse my interest. He barely gets to feel it for long though, as the same being who tossed him out the first time returns. Clearly, there is some motive. Clearly, there is some meaning to this world traversal.

The witch hunt in general takes too long for my liking, but it had its moments, and even better, by the end we do see more of the story, why it had to be the MC, how the world relates to him, what caused it, everything....
and yet, the resolution is something that is just taking far too long.

I knew there would be a lot of sex in a series where his mere touch can make girls super horny and orgasm, but I wasn't expecting multiple times with over 5 chapters of pure sex in a row. Sure it makes sense that they want to fuck him given their curse to die young ends once fucked, but the pacing is just so slow.... I find myself forgetting plot points at times till it is brought up again just because while in of story, it was pretty recent, there were just so many chapters of sex in between that by the end it feels like an ancient memory.
I just wish the story throws the sex off the series at this point so the story can actually see some progress.

TLDR: Decent character design/art, good story in the moments the story actually exists, far too many sex scenes to the point I find even some of the really long, sex-filled barely progressing hentai has better pacing.
