Winners of the 2018 Newtype Anime Awards were announced at the Machi★Asobi event. The winners were selected by fans in magazine and online polls. The participants were anime and anime movies that aired or opened between October 2017 and June 2018.

I don't care what anime studios produce as long as I can find what I want and others can find what they like too. And anime studios rather produce what large number of people like instead of serving an elitist and narcisstic irrelevant vocal minority writing long ass essays about their taste in Japanese cartoons and the plebians who like things they don't like lol. Anime is medium to entertain not some scientific research subject or something.

You have 2 options now. Either grow up and come to accept people might have liked things you don't like or just be a denialist like how the rest evolved into.

As much as it pains me to watch the entirety of this list, I am still eternally glad that they include Sora Yori in almost all category.

Though this begs the question, what is the main differing factor between Japan's and Western audiences' taste when it comes to like an anime?
