Always open for friend requests! For all anime watched, I write non-spoiler notes, tags, scores, and try to watch everything related to the series.I don't watch anime fast-forwarded, while multitasking, or skip fillers/recaps. Anime & Medical Info
Technically I've been watching anime since the '90s, but in 2019 I started watching
anime actively, before that only rarely. I watch almost all genres of anime, and you
can see that from my anime list. I value one thing, and one thing only in anime,
ENJOYMENT! Art style, animation, music, story, voice acting, everything else comes
far in second place. When an anime rouses an emotion in me, (everything other but
disgust or hate) that usually means the anime is great, and that's what I seek in
anime. Works that wake up emotions in me. My rating score is mostly based on just
the enjoyment value.
I have CFS (Chronic-fatigue syndrome), ADHD, dissociative personality disorder,
and some other minor diseases. I can't work or study, so that's why I have so much
time to watch anime, and watching anime is one of the rare things I can do, that
aren't taxing on my health. I would really like to do more anime reviews and
recommendations, but they take a lot of energy to do for me.
I rate anime based on enjoyment value, everything else comes far in second place.
Every rating is only based off the anime itself, from an anime watcher's viewpoint,
and not comparing it to the source material.
I don't use the IGN style of rating, where a score of 6 is the worst thing ever, instead
I use the full scale from 1 to 10, and MAL descriptions for the scores, so that means
1 is the worst, 5 is average, and 10 is a masterpiece. Anything 8 or above in my list,
I would recommend for everyone to watch.
10 A masterpiece! This made me cry or made me extremely emotional, and I was
glued to the screen from the very first episode to the end. These animes basically
make the core of what kind of anime watcher I am, and I will these till
the end of time. Obviously you should watch these.
9-8 Awesome, I loved these! They made me very emotional in someway or another.
These had many great things going for them, but maybe just one or two things
bothered me about it and I couldn't give it a perfect score. I would recommend
these to anyone, even if you're not a fan of the genre.
7-6 Good animes that I liked, but weren't that memorable, or made me feel much
of anything. These animes had one or two great things going for them, but overall
they weren't so hot. I would recommend these to those who are a fan of the genre
the anime is based on.
5 These animes were very tiresome and boring to watch, and even sometimes were
more torture to watch than the lower scored ones, just because of the painful
mediocrity. You may find some enjoyment out of these if you're a big fan of the
genre.
4-3 Bad, I didn't like these at all in one way or another, and weren't even so bad
that it would be memorable because of that. You could maybe watch and enjoy if
you're a fan of the genre or the source material, but others stay away from these
as it is just a waste of time.
2-1 Horrible, these animes made me frown in disgust, and every second spent
watching was just like torture. At least these were so bad that it made them
memorable for that. Recommended for those who are masochists, or looking to
watch something so bad they'll be scarred for life.
About Anime Tags
Anyone looking through my anime list might be perplexed by some of the tags, I
have a notepad full of all the tags I use, and if you're confused by any of the tags,
you can ask me. Just for example, I'll explain some of the tags below.
-Adult-as-child = Adult, or almost an adult, trapped or presented in a child's or a
child like body.
-Boobalicious = Contains a lot of nude, big, and/or barely nude tits, or boobs are
one of the main focuses of the show.
-Brutal = Breaking bones, beatings, dismemberment, doesn't necessarily have
blood in it.
-Call the loli police = Children under 13 are sexualized, or the child is the object
of romance for an adult character.
-Casual fun = A relaxed and fun series, that is suitable for all ages and all fans of
anime.
-Classic = Timeless and still very popular after decades among the viewers and
usually still highly rated.
-Crude art/animation = Rough and/or simple drawing style, usually accompanied
by poor or nonexistent animation.
-Dark = e.g. gloomy, depressing, distressing, uncomfortable, disturbing. Usually
includes sexual/physical violence, drug use, addiction, violent and/or abusive
relationships.
-Disappointed = The series was praised and/or had good reviews, and they gave
me high expectations, but instead it was a big disappointment for me.
-Dropped = At some time I dropped this show, and probably even deleted the
entry also, but later I decided to watch it.
-Misleading = Is completely or mostly different from the impression you get from
reading/looking at the title, cover and/or synopsis.
-OP protagonist = Protagonist is unusually powerful physically/magically compared
to everyone else, friend or foe. Dispatches most of the adversaries in a single strike
or spell.
-Over the top = The characters and/or story is ludicrous in some way. Usually the
characters are outlandish, extreme looking, and the story events are so crazy they
hardly make any sense.
-Rewatched = I have watched this series multiple times from start to end. If I have
watched it again, more than one time, the number of rewatches is mentioned in the
notes.
-Scored later = Entries that are not in my recent memory, and I had to
it from the back of my head when adding notes, so the tags and score are not
entirely accurate, it would need a rewatch, honestly.
-Short = Short anime or that are under 10 minutes in episode length.
-Slow = Story progresses very slowly or comes to a stand still for long times before
something starts to happen.
-Style over substance = Mostly consists of flashy action scenes, beautiful art style
and/or animation, but there is little focus on story and actually making a good and
interesting show.
-Suomi mainittu = (Finland mentioned) Finland is visited, mentioned by a
character/narrator, or a character is from Finland, or has roots in there. Seeing the
flag or the country on a map isn't enough.
-Tiresome = This means that the anime was really a struggle to get through to the
end, it doesn't mean the anime was completely bad, but something made it so that it
didn't click with me, or was somehow really boring to watch for me.
-Unlikable protagonist = The protagonist wasn't likeable at all for me, usually this
is the biggest reason I didn't like the show.
Agreed about FF13! The combat system is great and I actually enjoy the linearity of the game; big open worlds overwhelm me. I still need to play 13-2, I don't own it so I had to a rom of it on my jailbroken PS3.
Atelier Ryza is probably the best game for a newcomer to the series because it's relatively accessible/easy, and very fun and addictive once you get into the gameplay loop! It's a JRPG with a high emphasis on crafting and a super fun ATB combat system.
That's cool! You have great taste, Final Fantasy 10 happens to be in my top 5 favorite games of all-time!! It's such a masterpiece. I played like 10-15 hours in FF12 a few years ago; I need to just restart it, honestly, cause I forgot too much about it by now. But I did enjoy what I had played so far. My personal second favorite FF game is 13! :D I find it to be underrated/over-hated. I really wish the FF13 trilogy would get ported to modern systems, specifically the Switch which I'm sure could run them.
As for me, I love love loveee the Atelier series, don't know if you've heard of it! A few of my favorites from the franchise are Atelier Ryza, Atelier Lydie and Suelle, and Atelier Sophie 2.
That's so cool! I ire the dedication. Dead Souls looks like a whole fever dream lol. And it's smart to save money on the games.
I've finished (in order): Yakuza Like a Dragon, Infinite Wealth, Yakuza 0, Yakuza Kiwami, Yakuza Kiwami 2, and Yakuza 3. I couldn't beat the final boss (Munakata) of Yakuza 4, I skipped 5, and I'm (sort of, on and off) currently playing Yakuza 6.
Oooh nice nice! I've never 100%'d any game before, but especially not a Yakuza game. Seems pretty tedious and hard to accomplish with all the minigames like mahjong.
Wow, 300 hours is impressive! I gotta be 100% honest with you, I skipped Yakuza 5 because I didn't want to play another game split between multiple characters 😩😖 In other words, I wanted to play a game where you control Kiryu the whole time. So I skipped to Yakuza 6 after 4 loll. But I do want to play 5 some time... eventually~ The idol stuff with Haruka seems really fun.
My favorite Yakuza game is Like a Dragon. Even though it's the 7th in the series, it was my first Yakuza game because I love turn-based combat.
Hi, yes of course, thank you for accepting! ヽ(・∀・)ノ
You seem like you have great taste. I love Elfen Lied and Clannad After Story! I've been wanting to rewatch the latter.

FFX was my #1 as well until I played Yakuza Like a Dragon 💖
