Was that series special to you, or did you just happen across the song?

Kaleido Star is a series I'm currently watching, and it's already special to me. I'm enjoying the show a lot and almost adding it to my favs after finishing!

By the way, did you ever hear “Fall To Pieces” or “Slither” by Velvet Revolver? Slash played as one of their guitarists too.

Ohhh a truly amazing band. I find the Welland + Slash combo such a cool idea! They just worked. Both great tracks, especialy Fall to Pieces. "The Last Fight" is another amazing track! I wish Scott was still around...

I read your answer and I'm glad you enjoyed my suggestions! Some of them surely took you to some good memories, from what I read. Also, nice to know you heard Back From Cali for the first time through me! Mayfield Four was Myles first band, truly underrated. About Chris, he is a favorite of mine, I truly and deeply miss that dude. I'm glad he wrote such great songs - some used in memorable movies as you mentioned.

These are my impressions about your list. It's long and lengthy xD , so you can only read my takes without feeling a need to reply back. I wrote about them while listening and got a little inspired on the way haha here we go:

1. Up From The Bottom

Really intense and powerful, that's my most defining and sincere impression. Also I like the chorus and the duo! I was curious about this song and how it would work without C.B. in the leads.

2. Afterlife

I like how the song has a nice beat, the drums drive the song well. I had no idea this song was so recent. Not an Evanescence fan, but I appreciate Lee's vocal harmony.

3. Nail Polish

I didn't expect this song to become groovy later. In the beginning I was waiting for a guitar+vocal track haha. The contraposition between the intense instrumental and the calm vocals blend well. I never heard this band before, it's like a lofi underground rock in a way xd Also the scream in the second half was wild

4. Emergence

This song has a growth that starts little by little and gets really intense. Sometimes the beat goes to an odd tempo and gives this heavy and melancholic feeling along with the vocals. Really cool, it reminded me of I thought it was going to be a modern rap initially. I'll also check their catalogue to know more about their sound

5. Hearse For Two

The chorus is probably my favorite of this songs playlist. The harmony in vocals blends well, really beautiful. I appreciate the deliver in this song. I'll listen to this track often in my lists.

6. Embracing Entropy

It has a techno vibe and is atmospheric. The melody and the notes in vocals give this sense of chaos. The chorus resolve with a more melodic flow and then bring the "despair" back. It's one of those songs that should in a dystopic audiovisual work.

7. Rumble

Reminds me of Imagine Dragons (don't know if you like them or not haha). The beat is strong and drives the song, the melody has this "let's make things happen and kill a lion per day" feeling. It's a track that makes you want to start the day with intensity.

8. Holy Water

The main riff has an interesting groove. The guitar, bass and drums are "glued" and makes the sound unique. The singer has a strong voice, she has this calm side in her singing but also grows when needed. The song finishes without wasting any time.

9. The Siege

This one starts already in full power and goes until the end. It is a track that reminds me a little of Evanescence in the second voice that comes after. I find it cathartic, especially in the chorus, like a sincere confession. A letter after the despair.

10. Shuddering

You sure find some underrated songs out there. The sudden change between a "eletronic" beat and the heavy tempo give a nice contrast, and gives me this nu metal vibe. The riff in 2:40 is wild, really headbanging material. All in all, it's a song that made good use of the tools it has in it. Both in music and effects.

And to close my oddly long answer - how do you find those songs? I rarely check things outside of my "comfort" zone hahahah guess I should be more open to new artists. Thanks for the recommendations! I'll check them again sometime, especially 5, 8, 9 and 10 :D

You mentioned Kenshin, I didn't watch much of the remake. I might after it ends, since I am looking forward to the arc that wasn't adapted in the '96 anime!

Another series that catches my attention are Zatsu Tabi and Shoushimin (second season releasing now in April). I might also check on Kowloon since I liked the style and synopsis.

GGF is my favorite time of year in PoGo. It’s so fun and I’m most active playing outdoors distance-wise during that time period. It seems like fans are especially connected then as well which is cool.

I have 32/400 candy and low motivation to evolve Meltan, however Melmetal must be pretty helpful in battles in general.

I kind of gave up on Dynamax. I’m focusing on clearing main quests and I feel like the max spots clutter the map a bit. I’ll be ready to assist in raids when the opportunity arises for you to catch shiny Mewtwo!

Now that I have shiny Shinx, I feel that I have accomplished all that I need to in PoGo. There is one other Pokémon I want which I can acquire via trade with a friend of mine now that our friendship is maxed out. Giovanni is such a nuisance, but I’ll keep playing because I’m curious which mons they will eventually add and I have a few buddies I need to train and adventure with more. I’m mad at Niantic though because I get more shinies without paying for event tickets than when I do. ( ｡ •̀ ᴖ •́ ｡)
