Wooooow, I see Pure Pure in your bio, I have never seen anyone ever acknowledge that visual novel. Good taste.

Tbh I'm not that big into shoujo manga (the protagonists' sentiment, mostly. It's too much for a forthright person like me to handle), but Ouran is one of a kind and Haruhi's doudemoii attitude is so refreshing to see. It does a lot of playing with the tropes of the genre so I'm excited to see how the manga tone it down and flesh Haruhi out more as a girl. I peeped a bit and you're right, it's a lot denser than I thought.

I'm playing the game on DS emulator. Gotta say, I'm surprised it features original characters that were actually designed by Hatori-sensei, and they fit perfectly into the storyline. Other than that, the common route is heavily based on anime, they even reused clips from anime as cutscenes and borrowed the opening theme lol. Tachie and CGs are beautiful as always, but the thing I appreciate the most is the quality of the voice acting.

I'll save Honey-senpai for the last. Because I'll probably die while reading his route due to excessive nosebleeds.

I haven't read the manga either. I guess I have an idea how it ends, so a few side dishes from the game might be a good appetizer before I read the manga. I-It's not like I want to romance Honey-senpai or something, okay (^ ◇ ^；) :sweating:

That's a shame but I expected that. It's not written by Hatori-sensei herself after all. I think the comedy would also not land perfectly due to the lack of visual, especially for Tamaki who does silly moves all the time, and also the twincest scenes :)

Kitsu-neesan, is the otoge for Ouran any good? I'm actually rewatching the show at a very slow pace, glad to confirm it's still one of my favorites after all these years. I keep forgetting that it had a novel game.
