I've been enjoying Makina san a lot this season and it is my personal favorite ecchi of this season, as I like it more than takamine san (manga is better for that one) and yandere dark elf (doujin is better for that one). Basically we have the fmc who is a sex robot and she constantly approaches our mc who is a nerdy otaku virgin. Of course, he doesn't really do anything and rejects her advances even though she is literally throwing herself onto him. This one has pretty good animation and art quality, whereas I feel like with the other ecchis there were more ... animation errors. Aditionally, the op and ed are solid. Story and characters are nothing to write home about but that's not why we watch these types of shows to begin with. OST is aite. VA work is good but the mc's voice is annoying. From a visual perspective, it looks crisp and smooth and that's honestly all that matters. Definitely keep a close eye on this one.

Lazarus is by far my favorite new show this season. The direction, style and overall vibes are just immaculate.
Story and Characters: The story takes place in 2052. Everyone in the world is at peace, and this is due to sickness being eradicated. The reason for this is due to a new drug called "Hapuna" being developed. The drug has zero drawbacks and only provides bliss and happiness. However, the doctor who developed this drug ends up vanishing without a trace. A few years later, the doctor comes back and announces to everyone that everyone who has taken the drug will die 3 years later. Due ... to this, a task force called "Lazarus" gets assembled and they are tasked with the mission to find the doctor and develop a vaccine before they run out of time. The premise is very interesting here, and the sci-fi elements make it appealing and enjoyable to watch. Additionally, the characters are very likeable. Although we don't know much about the ing cast, they are pleasant to watch and add flavor to the show. The MC in particular, Axel Gilberto is very charismatic and is quite reminiscent of Spike Spiegel from Cowboy Bebop. There are also quite a few other similarities to Cowboy Bebop, which I will mention later on.
Score: 7.5/10
Animation: Studio MAPPA have a grand portfolio of great looking shows, and Lazarus is no exception. Add to that Shinichiro Watanabe directing and the action director of John Wick, and you're gonna get peak choreography and fighting sequences. Even the non fight scenes such as the parkour and running scenes looking very stylish and clean. Overall the show looks amazing and is very easy on the eyes.
Score: 9/10
OST: My personal favorite part of this show. The OST is jazz, and I'm a sucker for that stuff. You can tell that they were heavily inspired from Cowboy Bebop, which has one of my favorite OSTs in all of anime.
Score: 9.5/10
OP and ED: The OP is peak, come on its more jazz. The visuals are also incredible and really stand out. ED is good.
OP score: 9.5/10
ED score: 8/10
Mean Score: 8.75/10
Voice Acting: The voice acting in this show is good, but its not going to blow you away. There are some big names such as Miyano Mamoru, Maaya Uchida, Yuuma Uchida, and Makoto Furukawa but its definitely not their best performances.
Score: 7/10
Overall, Lazarus is a very enjoyable and interesting action and sci-fi show. It keeps you on the edge of your seat and makes you want to know what will happen next. Highly recommend it.

Not sure why there haven't been any other positive reviews so far, but personally I have been enjoying Wind Breaker season 2 a lot. Is it perfect? Of course not. But it knows exactly what it wants to do and executes it well.
First off, if you are watching season 2 that means you have already seen season 1 (and presumably enjoyed it). If you didn't enjoy season 1, then I see no reason to continue watching something that you don't like (hatewatching is lame).
Alright, now that that's out of the way, onto the rest of the review.
Story and Characters: Definitely the weakest part of the ... show. Sakura is a typical tsundere MC with a good heart. He wants to protect Bofurin from all the rival gangs and does so semi-successfully. However, I think the side cast is more interesting. Characters like Hayato, Kyotaro and Ren are easy to follow and provide and are more dynamic and have more layers than the MC. Other than that, it's a typical delinquent story. Gangs fight other gangs. Nobody is watching this show for the story anyways so for me the criticisms are somewhat unfounded. On one hand, the story is generic but on the other hand that is not the main appeal of this show at all and was never from the beginning.
Score: 6/10
Animation: By far the best aspect of this show. The fight scenes are clean and fluid, and the choreography is exceptional. Additionally, the camera work in the big group fights is impressive and the hand to hand combat is done very well. Cloverworks are a great studio, and although they don't usually do fighting anime, they really knocked it out of the park for this one.
Score: 9/10
Soundtrack: The OST in this show is good, it gets you hyped up and does its job well.
Score: 7.5/10
OP and ED: Both the op and ed are good, tho I prefer the s1 op personally.
OP score: 7.5/10
ED score: 7/10
Mean score: 7/10
Voice Acting: The voice acting quality in this show is very high. There are a lot of high profile VAs in the cast such as Uchida Yuuma, Shimazaki Nobunaga, Chiba Shouya and more. They do a good job of portraying the emotions and personalities of their respective characters.
Score: 8/10
Overall, Wind Breaker season 2 is a solid show. It's not a groundbreaking story, and it's not reinventing its own genre, but the delivery, execution and presentation makes it a damn enjoyable ride.

Story and Characters: MHA Vigilantes takes place 6 years before the main series, before the main crew (Deku, Bakugo, Todoroki, etc) ever went to UA. It focuses on "illegal heroes" who either don't have quirks or whose quirks aren't strong enough to be ed as official heroes. These vigilantes, despite not being ed, are trying their best to help out society in the ways they can, whether its defeating villains that would otherwise go under the radar of the pro heroes, or just doing regular good deeds. Although it is a different perspective, at the end of the day its still same old MHA. The ... main characters feel like carbon copies of the MHA cast (weak guy with a good heart, discount All Might, and damsel in distress) - almost exactly one for one with the main series. For now I feel zero emotional attachment to the main cast of Vigilantes as it feels like they just ripped off from the main series, and added zero creativity and originality to their cast. On top of that, the story so far is very much villain of the week style, where each week a new big bad guy shows up and our guys have to defeat them - a formula which I am not a fan of. Overall, the story is bland, basic and not interesting at all. By far the weakest aspect of this show for me.
Score: 4/10
Animation: The animation in this show is quite good, but that's not surprising at all because its studio Bones. There are a few clean fight scenes here and there, although considerably less than the main series. This is a shame as they are not able to showcase their fluid fighting choreography to the fullest, which is an area where MHA tends to shine.
Score: 8/10
Soundtrack: The OST in this show is good, but after all it's Yuki Hayashi, so this is to be fully expected. It gets you hyped and hits you in the feels when it needs to.
Score: 7/10
OP & ED: Both the op and ed are extremely weak for MHA standards. While the visuals are pretty, the songs are generic and almost put me to sleep because of how boring they are.
OP score: 5.5/10
ED score: 6/10
Mean score: 6/10
Voice Acting: The voice acting in this show is good. Although the VAs for the main cast are lesser known, they portray their characters well and get the vibe down of each of them quite accurately. The voice work in this show won't blow you away, but it gets the job done.
Score: 7/10
Overall, MHA Vigilantes is a disappointing addition to the series. As it stands, it is "fine". Not terrible, but doesn't stand out among all of the heavy hitter series that come out each season. Considering how much manga readers had been hyping this up, praising the writing quality and saying how much better it is than main MHA, I fail to see where all this praise comes from. Maybe the story will get better and maybe the characters will start to feel less one dimensional as we move forward, but as of right now, I can't recommend it to anyone other than die hard MHA fans (and even then the main series is still better, since it was good from ep 1). As someone who has been following MHA since 2018 and who has seen every season and every movie, this new addition for now has very little to offer. Ultimately, although MHA vigilantes is visually appealing, it lacks direction, focus and substance.

Story and Characters: Witch Watch is a unique comedy coming from the author of Sket Dance and Astra Lost in Space. For those who don't know, this creator was a former assistant of Sorachi (creator of Gintama), and the influence definitely shows here. The show revolves around a witch named Nico who moves into the house of her childhood friend, Morihito, who happens to be an ogre. Nico doesn't mind others knowing about her powers as she wants to help as many people as she can with her magic, however she doesn't always know the implications and side effects that her magic will cause on ... others, leading to some interesting situations. On the other hand, Morihito does not want others to find out about his true nature as he was bullied for it when he was younger. Despite this, he still uses his brute strength to help save Nico and other people in dire need. The premise is fun and the comedy is refreshing. There are also quite a few direct references to other anime like HxH, Demon Slayer, AOT, DBZ, Fruits Basket, and more. I enjoy it when media breaks the fourth wall as it allows for a more direct and interactive experience, and it also shows that the author is aware and constantly thinking of their audience when writing the jokes. So far, the show has mainly been focusing on the main leads, although I am sure the show will give more screentime for ing characters such as Nemu, Kara, Yuuri moving forward.
Score: 9/10
SoundtracK: The soundtrack is enjoyable to listen to and works well with the show. Not much else to say here, its just good.
Score: 7/10
OP and ED: The op is amazing. Megumi Ishitani and YOASOBI both cooked with the visuals and song, respectively. Ed is average.
OP score: 9/10
ED score: 5.5/10
Mean Score: 7/10
Voice Acting: The voice acting in this show is very high quality. There are high profile VAs in the cast such as Ryota Suzuki, Ishikawa Kaito, Matsuoka Yoshitsugu, Rie Takahashi, and more. Each and every one of the cast brings their characters to life and makes them feel real and relatable.
Score: 9/10
Overall, Witch Watch is a very good comedy anime with some supernatural elements. It's easy to watch and recommend to others and it got a lot of laughs out of me, and I'm sure it will continue to do so for the remainder of the season.

I don't get why everyone else is hating on this show I think it's a perfectly enjoyable and good ecchi. Maybe it doesn't have the best production values, but that's to be expected with a lot of shows in this genre. The premise of the show is as follows:: Tsukasa, our mc, is a regular salaryman and one day he gets attacked by several monsters. He gets promptly saved by a brilliant kunoichi, Shizuri. However, when she is not on the job, she becomes a shut in NEET who snacks and plays video games all day long. This show is really chill, comfy and cozy. ... As I mentioned earlier, the animation is not the best but that doesn't matter as the ecchi is plentiful and we also get really nice artworks at the end of each 12 minute episode. Aditionally, the music is decent and the VA cast is solid (some big names such as Fairouz Ai and Yui Horie are present here)
Overall, this is a nice show to relax and have fun with. Don't take it too seriously, and you will have a good time with it.

Story and Characters:
Link Click is back, this time around with the Bridon Arc. After the banger that was s2 in 2023, the show has returned, although in a slightly different manner. This arc is a prequel, as it takes place 3 years before the events of s1. This makes sense as we saw Cheng Xiaoshi die right at the end of s2. Now we are seeing what happens when Lu Guang made that decision to return to the beginning and try and save him. We see Cheng Xiaoshi and Lu Guang meeting up for the first time, without their powers, and Qiao Ling is also ... here. We also saw Lu Guang discover his powers towards the end of ep 1, which was a nice detail. Additionally, a photo of Cheng Xiaoshi's parents showed up at the photo studio one day. This is when the two decided to go to Bridon together to track down this clue and find out some more crucial info about Cheng's parents. Obviously they will meet some important people (both new and reoccuring) there, such as Xia Fei and Liu Xiao. The season started a little slow (to be fair every season does) with Cheng Xiaoshi and Lu Guang going to an anime convention and whatnot. However, it quickly picks up from there and we quickly get hooked. Now, this season is sadly only going to be 6 eps long which is twice as short as previous seasons. I'm not quite sure how they will wrap everything up as there are currently quite a few unanswered questions but we will have to wait and see.
Score: 10/10
Animation: As always the animation in this show is stellar. The backgrounds are very detailed and standout. Even the simplest scenes that showcase daily life have the utmost ion and soul poured into them. The few fight scenes we got so far also look extremely clean and smooth, Although a different studio is working on this season compared to the first two seasons, a lot of the core staff are the same which of course includes the director and original creator, Haoling Li.
Score: 10/10
OST: The music in this show has always been phenomenal. While not its strongest element, it is also in my opinion not the most important element in a show. Either way, the soundtrack is straight fire and I've been listening to it on spotify nonstop. Highly suggest that you do the same.
Score: 9.5/10
OP & ED:
The op and ed for the season are both incredible, even if they are the weakest ones so far in my opinion. Now, the first time I heard the op, I'll be honest, I wasn't a huge fan. However, listening to it again, it has really started to grow on me as it carries this melancholic and nostalgic feel to it. When watching the op, you can't help but ponder "man, these characters look so innocent here, they look like they're having so much fun and making the most out of their youth." It's almost the ideal "what-if" scenario, a cruel reminder of how brutal this show can be, as its never this easy and oftentimes characters are forced to make very difficult decisions on the spot. And if you really dig deep into the lyrics, notice how the op is called "The Eye". "Even if I'm trapped in a rewind. Rewinding right in front of the eye." This is clearly in reference to how destiny is predetermined, and no matter how many times they try and go back in time to change the past, the outcome will always be the same. The song really has an emotional feel, which I appreciate when listening to music and paired with excellent visuals, this is by far my favorite OP of the season. The ED is also incredible. The song is really good, and the visuals, while simple, really stand out. Bai Sha JAWS and Liu Zhang both cooked.
OP score: 9.5/10
ED score: 9/10
The Voice Acting also remains S tier, I personally love how the cast get fully invested in each one of their roles, you can tell they really love their jobs.
Voice Acting: 9.5/10
Overall, this show remains incredible and while it may be too early to judge it, I think if all goes well, and if it keeps up this quality until the final few eps, Link Click will keep its title as a masterpiece in the time travel genre.

SAO Alternative: GGO is back with its second season after an over 6 year wait. I actually just binged the first season last week, and I am now caught up to the 4 eps that are out for s2. Here are my thoughts.
Plot: Our mc is a girl named Karen Kohiruimaki. IRL, she is very self-conscious about her height as she is quite tall, so she decides to play GGO after a friend recommends it to her. She models her new in game avatar to be the "pink devil" LLENNN, a small but ruthless girl who guns down her enemies without hesitation. Eventually, she ends ... up meeting a woman named Pitohui, a sniper who has a lot of experience in GGO, and she ends up teaming with her in "Squad Jam" a team based battle royale. This was s1 more or less.
S2 starts off strong as we get thrown back immediately into the action, with bullets flying everywhere and chaos ensuing. We are now currently in the third squad jam, and in of the story, s2 is already more interesting than s1, with many twists and turns being thrown at every corner to keep the viewer on the edge of their seat. Personally, I never thought that the plot was the strong part of sao, but its actually good in this one.
Characters: The cast is quite enjoyable, and unlike the regular SAO series, most of the characters are actually likeable. LLENN is adorable yet strong, Pitohui is badass and hot, Miyu is energetic and has a fun personality, and M is a complete gigachad. Overall, I much prefer the cast of alternative over regular sao.
Story and characters: 7.5/10
Music: The music in this series is really solid. It keeps you locked into the intense atmosphere and engaged for every second, the placement of insert songs is well done.
Music: 8/10
Animation: While the animation is not S tier by any means, its certainly well above average. S1 already looked quite good, but with A1 pictures taking over s2, you can definitely tell that the animation leveled up. The shots are really clean and sao has always had good animation so this isn't really surprising to me.
Animation: 8/10
OP and ED:
The op by ReoNa is an absolute banger, and I've been looping it on spotify recently because it's just that good. Seriously, give it a listen. The visuals are also immaculate. The ed is alright. Not bad, but certainly a step down from the op.
OP score: 8/10
ED score: 6/10
Voice Acting: The voice acting in this show remains high quality. The entire cast did a solid job on this, and big names such as
Kusunoki Tomori, Hikasa Youko, and Akasaki Chinatsu means that the voice performances will be good.
Voice acting: 7.5/10
Overall, while I understand people's hesitation's of getting into a new SAO, trust me this one is worth it. I already preferred season 1 of SAO Alternative more than season 1 of regular SAO, and season 2 of SAO Alternative continues to do everything that season 1 did well, as well as improve upon the aspects that weren't so good. If you enjoyed season 1 of SAO Alternative even a little bit, I think you should definitely check out season 2, as you will be pleasantly surprised.

Dandadan is the new and hot shonen series this season. You might take a look at the high ratings it has gotten and ask yourself “does this show deserve the hype?”.
The short answer: yes, it does.
The long answer: First off, let’s talk about the premise behind the series (this synopsis will cover ep 1 only). Dandadan revolves around our main duo, Momo Ayase, an outgoing and energetic teenage girl, and Ken Takakura, a timid teenage boy otaku. The show starts off with Momo getting dumped by her bf, and quickly after we get to see Momo moping and venting to her friends about ... this. In the same class, Ken is reading some book about UFOs and aliens while bullies are throwing paper balls at him. This goes on for a bit until Momo intervenes and steps up for him. She then asks him what he’s reading to which he starts nerding out on her. This pushes her away and causes her to say stuff like “this is why you don’t have any friends.” Momo quickly apologizes and reveals that she believes in ghosts as her grandma is a spirit medium. Ken then proceeds to make fun of her, and she challenges him. They both agree to go to “hotspots” for aliens and ghosts respectively. A lot of wild shit ensues, and they both now believe in what they thought was made up nonsense, as they had some interesting encounters with these beings. Sounds insane, right? All of this happens in the first ep, and its a great way to introduce us to our main duo as well as this wacky world.
The story of dandadan has many crazy twists and turns that will keep you on the edge of your seat. ittedly, I am a manga reader, and I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t at all jealous of anime only for experiencing this wild ride for the first time with no prior knowledge (don’t get me wrong, the manga is very good too, but based on the first 3 eps alone, I have a feeling this adaptation will sur the source material). The characters are also very likable and have great personalities. At the beginning of ep 1, some people might think momo is a “typical popular girl”, but you find out fast that she cares a lot about her friends and family and always puts them first. The same can be said for Ken Takakura, a lot of folks might think he is a “typical loner otaku” but by the end of ep 1 you can see that his #1 priority is protecting momo, and he can come in clutch when it matters most. Aira and Jin haven’t been introduced in the anime yet, but they’re both great side characters. And don’t even get me started on Seiko, she’s awesome. Now, I don’t think the story of dandadan is perfect. It has some flaws. As I mentioned earlier, a lot of this series is extremely random and relies on “shocking” or “surprising” you with plot twists. I found this to be somewhat reminiscent of Chainsaw Man’s unpredictable storytelling, and the overall vibes of these two series are quite similar (both are very fun and horny shonen). This makes sense as the creator of dandadan, Yukinobu Tatsu was a former assistant of Tatsuki Fujimoto (mangaka of CSM). I guess assitatnts of Fujimoto always put out bangers as Yuuji Kaku (creator of Hell's Paradise) was also an assistant of his. I will also say that I think the strongest parts of dandadan are the earlier arcs (for the most part). There are some arcs that can be a slog to get through (like the danmara arc for example). This won’t be covered until like season 4 of the anime though so it won’t affect my rating. Overall, the story is very creative and unique, unlike many other shonen series. It makes you feel a wide variety of emotions, from disgust, to excitement, to sadness, and more.
Story/Characters Score: 8/10
The animation is top tier, Science Saru were the perfect studio to adapt this series. As I mentioned, dandadan is very weird (in a good way) and Science Saru have previously been known to be a very “weird” studio, experimenting with many different types of color palettes and art styles in their works. All in all, the animation is incredible, it brings the already high quality manga art to life even more.
Animation Score: 9.5/10
OST: The OST in this show is really good, and that’s not surprising because Kensuke Ushio is the one working on it. He has done the scores of many well loved anime such as: A SIlent Voice, Devilman Crybaby, Chainsaw Man, Ping Pong the Animation, Heavenly Delusion, The Dangers in my heart, and more.
OST Score: 8.5/10
Voice Acting:
The Voice Acting in this show is top notch, with big names being in the cast like Hanae Natsuki, Sakura Ayane, Mizuki Nana, Ishikawa Kaito, and more. Overall, they have delivered very compelling performances that bring the characters to life.
Voice Acting Score: 8.5/10
OP/ED: The opening sequence is out of this world. The visuals are beautiful and every frame is wallpaper material. The song is an absolute vibe, Creepy Nuts literally don’t miss. The ED by Zutomayo is also quite good, safe to say they cooked here.
OP score: 9.5/10
ED score: 8/10
Overall, I think dandadan is a very good and enjoyable new shonen series for people to check out. I wouldn’t quite label it as a modern masterpiece, but it's certainly a lot of fun to just buckle up and enjoy the insane roller coaster that is this show.
Overall score: 8.7/10 (~9/10)

Story: "Ao no Hako" aka "Blue Box" is one of the more popular romance manga currently releasing, and definitely one of the best ones imo. It focuses on our main duo, Taiki Inomata, a first year bton player and Chinatsu Kano, a second year basketball player. "After an unexpected turn of events brings the two closer together, sports might not be the first thing on their minds anymore!" This series balances the sports aspect and romance aspect really well, as we get to see the characters focus on becoming the best versions of themselves through hard work and dedication, but we also see hints of ... possible romantic developments (which will be explored later on). The basic premise of Blue Box is pretty simple all things considered, and even though some may argue that it's "generic", it's an extremely well executed vanillia romance story with some good sports action thrown in here and there.
Story: 8/10
Animation: They really outdid themselves with this one, the animation is nothing short of stellar. I already had high hopes since reading the manga, as the artwork is quite detailed there. Then they dropped a few trailers which looked phenomenal, and after watching the first 3 episodes, I can safely say that this adaptation is in safe hands, and a big reason for that is due to the high quality and fluid animation. There was a few cg shots, mainly in the first ep, but they were not jarring and did not detract from my viewing experience at all
Animation: 9/10
Music: The music in this show is really good. The op "Same Blue" by Official HIGE DANdism really fits the vibe of the show well and the ed 'Teenage Blue" by Eve is just as good, if not better. The OST is solid as well.
Music: 8/10
Voice Acting: The entire cast sounds great. Reina Ueda as Chinatsu and Akari Kito as Hina were excellent picks as they bring a lot of personality to the characters and their voices match perfectly. At first I wasn't sure how to feel about Shouya Chiba as Taiki but his energy fits him well and really makes his character that much more likeable
Voice Acting: 9/10
Overall, Blue Box is a high quality romance series that you should absolutely watch, and while I do think the later seasons will be better as the plot progresses and more interesting developments occur, the anime is off to a great start and this adaptation is 100% worth checking out, whether you're an anime only or a manga reader like myself.
