Honestly, this has been quite a challenging year; forgive my words, 2024 was a shitty year, but 2025 is bringing new challenges. I am being positive that everything will go alright, and I really appreciate your best wishes.
How is 2025 treating you so far? I hope everything is going great on your end.
I personally cannot get peace surrounded by trees, too many horror videos and movies hahaha; I am more at ease in a corner of the city. Still, I understand why people feel so attracted by it, especially by sports where you are mostly surrounded by nature. I know this is one question we should never ask, but is it expensive? I know the golf clubs are made of hard iron, and I always see how players pay quite a lot of money for missing balls as well.
It's part of my routine to go out for at least 1 hour to walk, and I usually try to hit the 25 km-a-week mark. Of course, I tend to avoid going out late, especially at this time of the year when it becomes dark really early, and above all I avoid going to places that I know can be dangerous, as a dog last year but my sneakers and I fell on the floor hahaha. Still, that didn't stop me.
I honestly got stressed playing Animal Crossing hahaha; I know nobody rushes me, but the fact that there are some species that appear during specific moments of the year makes me rush to find them hahaha. Also, I am still wondering if Tom Nook is a con artist or not hahaha.
Ugh, yeah, Jojo has a specific type of energy, and I know it will be amazing, there is no way so many millions of viewers and manga readers would be wrong with that; but damn, the first episode was so infuriating. Everyone was so against the first Jojo, and the way the dad turned his back on his own son so easily made me so mad. I need a bit more time before going back to it full-time.
Akiba-Maid War is criminally underrated, an easy 10/10; I laughed so hard most of the anime, and then the final episodes came. All Ton Tokoton girls deserved the best; I love how in 12 episodes the studio nailed this anime so much. The Panda backstory caught me so off guard. Ranko deserved better.
I don't recommend Get Backers, but the story is your typical shounen with characters with extraordinary abilities, and the main team is a duo who are hired to fulfill different tasks and missions, and sometimes their allies help them. This is a weird case for me because I am sure the first half of the anime is canon, but it was so bad; like, the main antagonist of one of the biggest arcs was a kid who built a nuclear bomb because he felt lonely, like, what? And, interestingly, the second half I am sure was filler and it was way more enjoyable. The best redeeming aspect was the soundtrack; Opening 1 is catchy while Opening 2 and Ending 3 are masterpieces.
The author included illustrations of certain scenes, and the first illustration I swear came straight out of a BL manga for how amazingly it was written. The book had some dirty illustrations I didn't particularly appreciate, and while I feel the MC was a bit meanspirited and short-minded at times, I honestly feel everyone shamed him way too much and even manipulated him to end up with the other character. Still, it had a good climax, especially during the final confrontation.
Exactly! Slow-burning series with enjoyable characters are the best; maybe the main plot takes a bit of time to finally appear, but if the journey is enjoyable there is no way I could complain. Such as with Gintama and the manga, not the anime by any means, of a Terrified Teacher at Ghoul School. I love the way you know every term to describe it hahaha. I am eager for the fourth season, it will be amazing.
That's the thing, in Girls Band Cry you can see how much effort they put into their presentations, and also how hard it is to rise to the top; most music anime shows the rise to stardom almost immediately, while in GBC you see how much they struggled. I recommend this one first because it doesn't have sequels or prequels. The drama that tackles includes bullying, mental health issues, and family issues.
MyGo is from a bigger franchise; there are several bands in BanG Dream, or Bandori, and there are several characters who appear as cameos in MyGo and Ave Mujica. It's not like you need to watch everything, just if you are interested as far as I was told.
I really cannot Lewin Light at all; like, his design is familiar, I someone hating on Rin way more than others, but I swear I cannot him at all. I saw in some spoilers he will reappear, so let's see what happens. Was it explained why he left?
I agree with your words, its success is based on the fact that didn't follow the already established story of Cyberpunk 77; they took that world, and gave more context to it with a different narrative, people surviving in whatever way they could, and understanding they were never going to survive that. I love how the elite were living in a nice future with lots of technological advancements and enjoying them, while the poor were getting dehumanized by advancements and basically knew there was only one way to survive. I will never get over that ending; they all deserved better, even Kiwi who betrayed her team just because she wanted a better life outside that type of world.
I feel light novel games would succeed if they followed the same narrative as Higurashi: adapting everything while the characters are trying to achieve a happy ending. I know not every story is structured as Higurashi, but maybe there is a way to tie knots and make everything happen. I think Re: Zero is doing that, as well as Fate/Stay.
I need to read Sunrinse on the Reaping so much; I haven't got a copy yet, but spoilers have flooded my Instagram feed. I feel so bad for Maysilee, she was a queen, and for Snow to include Beetee's 12 years old son was one of the lowest blows ever. The fact that Wiress survived her games without killing a single person, just by paying close attention to details, was so iconic. With all I know, it was the right of Panem's citizens to be the ones to crush Snow to death.
Really? I mean, I know inside the books everyone made fun of Wiress, especially Johanna, but does the fandom do the same? Every time I read a Reddit post everyone shows Wiress a lot of love, which she deserves. I was never over Wiress's nor Mag's deaths on Catching Fire, and I will never get over them as of now. The two of them deserved way more. I am not going to lie, I don't much of the books, but I blame Peeta for Mags' death.
I hope there is a future book from the perspective of a Career Victor, and I really wish for it to be about Cashmere since I feel there is a lot to work there. Also, I wouldn't complain about a Johanna's book, like, her games, her time between the third Quarter Quell, her time on the 75th Hunger Games, what happened to her in the Capitol, and her life afterward.
That's the perfect word to describe Yozo's inner world: Exhausting. The fact he needed to prepare his facade the night before was depressing, and the way he broke when someone asked something out of nowhere and he immediately felt targeted was so depressing. There is no way someone can live a life like that for so many years without the need for something to pacify the voices.
Again, a perfect choice of words; Bojack and Yozo are traumatized by their childhoods and are so brilliant that they know what they choose to do is wrong long before doing it. They know they are in the wrong, yet the few times they try to leave the roads they fail.
I read the Spanish, or original, version of the book for school (I am from a Spanish-speaking country), and it was a nightmare. I needed to resume a summary of every chapter. The funny part is, that I enjoyed the summary; it was the first time I enjoyed an assigned school reading so much. Don Quijote was quite unique, and one of the few old men I have seen that engage in adventure; my teacher made fun of Sancho Panza, but in some sort of way, I actually liked the character.
I love Survival Games, and I have mad respect for the woman who presented it for the first time. I don't know what it is, but there is something so appealing in the book; we have many mindsets and mentalities, some are tormented by their actions and others simply don't care. Exactly! Like, I know I should hate Vera, I know she deserved the final spot, but for some reason, I cannot, I simply can't.
I also felt bad for Emily Brent; like, in a way, she wasn't at fault for what happened to the maid. Yes, she fired her and that caused the maid to lose it, but the thing is that there were more people involved in that; what about the parents? What about the baby's father? Also, the fact she actually regretted what happened to the girl was sad; she lacked comion, which she later seemed to gain, but she wasn't a murderer.
Hahaha, I wish it was Spirit Tracks; the game I stupidly sold when I was in high school was Pokemon HeartGold, the edition that came with another device called Pokewalker. Just by writing it, I feel bad hahaha. I bought Yoshi's Island Ds some weeks ago! Honestly, that is one of my biggest victories since it was original and with a decent price. I am currently tracking Princess Peach DS.
Read the manga, and avoid the anime; in my book, there is no anime for A Terrified Teacher at Ghoul School. I swear I will never forget Satelight for this. It could have been another or even the next Gintama; the undertones clearly stated there was something bigger happening behind the stage, and the anime omitted all of that.
I hope you can enjoy the manga.
I ed Dead Dead Demon's Dededede Destruction some weeks before because someone made this AI video about Antarctica and monstrous lifeforms that came out of it settling around the world in different cities; the concept was that people at first were scared, but ended up living alongside them since the creatures didn't attack them and were, in fact, sad for not being at home. Like, humanity kept on living even after being dreadfully scared at first. I wonder if there is really a way to feel comfortable when experiencing situations we weren't even prepared for.
I wonder if that numbness could be bad or a way to keep your sanity; it made me the Hunger Games books where Katniss said that even though they were under the fear of being picked for the Hunger Games, her classmates still behaved like normal kids; like, girls still talk about clothes and the boys they liked. And here, in Dededede, is happening almost the same; they live with an alien aircraft floating on top of them, but keep living and having the issues that come during their teen years.
I am also wondering what will happen in the second season that was spoiled so blatantly in the second opening song; I feel it will be related to that vortex with several characters inside of it as well as other characters getting peacefully taken by it. Whatever the case is, I am eager for the second season.
Were we talking about Ave Mujica, right? Hahaha, I think I forgot but I recall those episodes going wild. I am a bit disappointed since I feel Mutsumi's story arc took most of the season, Uika was the center in the final 2-3 episodes, Umiri was for like 1, and Nyamu received sporadic attention. I wish it was a bit longer since I really wanted to see the reasons why Nyamu was so angry in the opening song, and for Umiri to look so deranged; I feel that those were more implied than explicit. Still, to sum up, Ave Mujica was a very crazy and toxic band with lots of mental health issues.
I deeply appreciate your kind words, and as I said at the beginning, I feel the same; it is enjoyable to have someone to talk about so many different topics. You are very thoughtful and know your way with words.
I hope you are having a great year, and for June to be a wonderful month as well.

yeah i like the random finds, even if they're not random to others (who are more in the know), just exploring yourself and finding things you find value in, that's cool.
Be well,
I like your profile picture, too, and the awesome picture gallery on your profile page!🤩
I'm also nicely surprised to see you've watched Andersen Douwa: Ningyohime. It is one of my childhood animes that I want to re-watch. I it made me cry when I was little. 😅
