This season is split into 2 cours. First cour has 12 episodes.
Half the season has ed and the plot progress has been slow to say the least.
Compared to season 1 and 2 which had good pace, this season seems like a drag.
There have been implied and explicit revelations with half clarity.

The only saving grace and focus of the season seems to be good action and fight sequences with decent animation.

There is way too much time spent on recap of last episode and too many still scenes with just background music and angle ... of view rotating or other such POV techniques.

The OP soundtrack is good.
The direction is poor for this season. The screenplay is average. Seems like they are messing it up while animating, directing and editing.

What is good -
Animation - 8/10
It is enjoyable, nostalgic and fun to watch.

Humor - 7/10
Each episode has humor in it making it enjoyable and wacky.

What is bad -
... Plot - 3/10
The show seems like a story made on the go with a basic high level plot and few characters.
All else seems to be added on the fly with new characters appearing and disappearing in episodes.
The plot makes no sense. The "Protagonist" is not good. The "Antagonist" is not evil.

Character development - 4/10
Giving it a lenient 4 just because they gave some context to life of antagonist and he is the character with most depth.
All other characters are pure caricatures that come and go as needed.

Spoilers -

Antagonist - Onimaru has to be the most sensible practical character on this show.
Literally rooting for him. He was a good academic scholar with kendo as special subject.
His life was uprooted by Yaiba (MC). Then he comes in with an evil sword at his low point.
Even after becoming evil, he remains sensible and practical.
He conquers Govt with force and people with joy, entertainment, peace.
He has sensible understandable goals.

Now let's look at the MC - Yaiba.
Vagabond brat, useless swordsman who causes trouble everywhere he goes.
He creates trouble for the house that shelters him, for the school, for the city, and for his master so far.
If the escalation continues, he might be a bigger threat to the nation, and then the planet by the end of series that the antagonist ever could.
Is he righteous or pure like any "Good" protagonist?
Nope (He could not conquer his evil instincts and lost to Raijin demon twice)
Is he really skilled?
Nope. He just has better instincts coming from a jungle and having an OP teacher in his father. So he is unconventional and street smart.
He literally used tricks/luck/Deus ex machina to defeat almost everyone so far.
Is he clever or strategic?
Nope. He is dumb as rocks.
Does he have backstory so far? Nope

Amazing screenplay, concept and decent animation ruined by runtime of episodes and lack of an ending.
This is an entertaining comedy, action, fantasy with traces of parody.
Seriously hoping someone animates the remaining part and gives us the animated ending.
The MC is OP without being cocky or awkward or sad about it.
There are stronger characters too.
The source is made as a parody of OP MC in fantasy world genre.
The world is crazy and interesting.

Each episode is just 5 minutes long making it a 45-50 min short film effectively.
If the entire source material was turned into 12 episodes of length 20 mins, it would have been a superhit ... 9/10 series.

Do watch it if you are looking for a casual fun story.

The 2 OVAs were entertaining. The second OVA definitely carried the first OVA.
Need to breakdown the OVAs -
OVA 1 - 7/10
It was funny with some fan service. Both parts equally average.
A beach episode with high buildup and less delivery.
The buildup wasn't as funny.
OVA 2 - 9/10
This was a cracker episode with Kazuma being the best.
It made the OVA series worth watching. Superb writing, animation and hilarious to the beat.
The new characters are well introduced and built up by the end.
...
Definitely watch the second OVA. Hilarious one episode OVA writing at its best.
A great respite for all Konosuba fans waiting for next season.

This show is one of the rare comic fantasy gems (bordering on parody but not a parody).
Every episode will give you atleast one outburst of loud laughter, if you understand it.

Animation - 8/10
It is good. Fights and magic scenes are enjoyable. But it is not the best.
Screenplay - 10/10
This is what makes it so great. The comic timing and subplots/plots and the thoughts of people are so accurate and amazing that it makes this whole anime shine bright.
Songs - 9/10
The opening narrator, precap of next episode and ending tracks are quirky and fun.

The story starts after a Party of OP adventurers (and their leader) became ... the strongest in land.
Their party became clan and the leader became clan leader. But he has his own quirks and secrets.

Overall - 9/10

Season 2 starts with 2 episodes of recap with random backstory flashbacks which were unknown.
Random changes to the ending of Season 1.
The animation quality has degraded like no one's business.
(I usually don't concern about this. But even for me, the dropoff was unimaginable.)
Even reading the manga art would feel more joyful than watching this third grade animation.
The plot seems to have gotten haywire with no coherence about what they are trying to depict.
The pace of Season 1 which kept intrigued is lost.
Too many characters in too few episodes appearing and acting relevant.
Unless some miracle happens, this season could go down as the ... worst second season of all time.
Characters have changed tones. Background score is pathetic. Interrupts/drowns the dialog flow.

Animation - 2/10
Screenplay - 2/10
Action/Adventure - 3/10
Direction - 3/10

Overall rating - 2.5 (rounded up to 3 with optimism/hope for better future episodes)

This anime is one of the gems of the season.
First off please check the Genre - Isekai Parody
It should be enough to let you know if you want to start it.

After first 3 episodes, it is more of a slice of life tales of wisdom.

Story - It has a unique story about an isekaid MC who actually doesn't want to be there and just wanted to die. (In trailer and first minute of show)
The misadventures that follow are hilarious and have more depth than many famous shows.
This show is having great writing and it showed till 4th ep and will continue in episodes.
Characters - ... Each relevant character is given depth as and when needed which explains why they behave the way they do.
Animation - The animation quality is good.
Direction - The show is having great pace making each episode worth watching.
There are no laggard/filler episodes to just grab money by elongating season.

Overall - 9*/10*

Imagine if you take 4 5 episodes of plot progress and add it to a season of Slime diaries (making a total of 24 episodes).
This pathetic crossover is what the greedy studio has churned out.
16 episodes can be summarized in less than 30 min.

A season full of meetings/discussions/planning for everything.
Just long conversations with no major reveals/progress.


Animation - 6/10
There are barely fights in 4-6 episodes. The remaining episodes are meeting which barely require that much efforts in animation.
... Screenplay - 2/10
This was just a cashgrab season to cash out the FOMO of fans for a new season.
Direction - 1/10
There is no clear direction and it seems like a haphazard direction. Too bad for a human. Seems like a generative AI has directed this season.
Action - 2/10
Barely any fights apart from 2 episodes and they too get over soon and the other episodes with mini fights conclude in less than 10 mins.
Overall - 3/10

Correct genre - Slice of Life/Drama/Isekai/Fantasy/Adventure
Season 2 part 1 was average because the plot was building up to some conclusions.
Season 2 part 2 starts off epic slow for 4 out of 6 episodes (Slice of life). (exceptions - Ep 3)
Then when it feels like next episode will be unbearable it gives a good worthy episode. (Ep 5)
Followed by preparation in Ep 6.
The last 6 episodes are like a complete movie which has everything - Action/Romance/Drama/Adventure.
The direction has been poor for first half of this cour.
The correct way to handle this part of manga would have been to created 3 40 min episodes to handle the ... Slice of life part.
That way there would be some sort of visible progress and semblance to the show.
Or you can wait for the season to end and binge it in one go (I watched 5-12 in a streak).
Watching it one episode a week is unbearable for even 4 episodes.

Drama - 8/10
In this cour, MC develops his relationships with his partner, his estranged sisters, his friends, his father, his teacher and so on.
Action - 8/10
Second half of this cour has great fights.
Fantasy and Adventure- 7/10
There is dungeon adventure in second half of the cour.
Animation - 7/10

First half of the cour -
Rating - Because of episodes 3 and 5, it is 6. Else it would have been 2.
Second half of the cour -
Rating - 8
It has got all the good stuff. Action, drama, adventure, emotion, wisdom.

Overall rating - 7*/10*

This is a gem of a anime (it is borderline parody of magic fantasy harem animes)
We have a Super Overpowered eccentric protagonist.
He adventures, has fun and most importantly studies magic.
You might be wondering then why give such high scores.
Answer -
The pace of this anime is amazing. They have 2 minutes kept entirely for chibi/fun.
The rest of it is high paced intense story progression.
There is humor, action, magic and for some reason unknown to mankind (harem element - though people are loving it a lot).

Even side characters (so many) are given some backstory/depth.
... There are epic fight scenes.

The animation is innovative, clever and top tier. It makes even a mundane scene of few seconds appear fun.

The MC actually uses his past knowledge (isekai) to be better even as a kid.
Instead of trying to start from scratch like an amoeba.

They waste no time. No dragging on of plot. More happens in 2 episodes of this anime than would have happened in 12 episodes of an average isekai.
No battles dragged on. No long expositions.
The animation and detailing/gag humour is amazing.
Action - 9/10
Humor - 8/10
Screenplay - 7/10
Pacing - 10/10
Animation - 10/10

PS - This is an OP kid isekai about magic. If it doesn't suit your taste, don't watch.
What the description said is what you get. No point complaining.
