In general, both series has a similar background with a supernatural feeling. The characters from both series also gets caught up in various events that changes their lives. Both series' setting also are similar in a metro like city. In fact, both series starts off at a setting involving a train/subway station. Both series has supernatural elements so expect some elements to be not so normal. There is action from what that comes from. Finally, the visuals from Durarara!! and DS2 shares somewhat similar designs in of their characters and settings.
Similar characters Art looks quite like the characters. The characters personalities is the same. Same supernatural with demons.
I just can't help it - the tree main characters seem to be really similar to me. (Mikado/Hibiki, Masaomi/Daichi, Anri/Io)
- Same producers: Mainichi Broadcasting. - Supernatural with Demons. - Same setting in the First Impressions: Metro like city, train/subway station. - Similarities Main Character and the Personalities is the same. Ryuugamine Mikado = Kuze Hibiki Kida Masaomi = Shijima Daichi Sonohara Anri = Nitta Io Each female main character (Anri / Io) attends the same school as 2 each male main character (Mikado & Masaomi / Hibiki & Daichi) which are friends .
The three main-ish characters are very similar in both, especially the female protagonist.
both are supernatural based stories with a wide variety of characters as well as lots of strange shit happenining as the story progresses through.
