Both are battle shonen, and the character designs for both made by Akira Toriyama
Dragon Ball and Dragon Quest. They are very similar to each other for so many reasons first of all, original designs for dragon quest is made by Akira Toriyama, not story tho. when i first saw Dai I tought it was in some manga by akira toriyama. Dai and Goku are very similar characters too, both kind, little stupid, both were sended from somewhere and were found by old man who took care of. Raised in wild with animals and etc... Many actions, super powers, transformations and amazing adventure! I want to recommend Dragon Quest to all of Dragon Ball franchise fans... If you love Dragon Ball, read more
