S1 was a heartwrenching beauty
I am glad that S2 doesn't hurt as much
I understand why the rest here think it took a plunge downhill, but I think the course of the show is both logical and needed.
So in S1 we and Fushi are new to the whole cycle of meeting and departing with people therefore it hurts every single time.
In S2 both we and Fushi have gotten used to it, and it still hurts, but now it is less so due to the sheer amount of experience and the surrendering that that is what a mortal's life is like.
And I am so glad that S2 takes a whole different genre to the show. If S1 was a slice-of-life, then S2 is a Historical War genre. Never mind the transition was made and it makes sense, taking into how history, religions and legends are created.
- on the other hand, if we stuck to the S1 pattern I would have likely been too in pain to click on the next ep.
So in short, the show is great, and people are being too perfectionists. Enjoy the second season of Fushi!
