As of Episode 5 when I'm posting this review, I can't really say a whole lot has happened in Season 2 of "Killing slimes for 300 years" thus far.
If you enjoyed Season 1, then you're likely going to enjoy Season 2. The fact this series goes for the iyashikei route, rather than the typical isekai slop of "OP MC defeats demon lord" is also a major benefit to it.
The whole thing is just wholesome goodness with Azusa enjoying her family life with the eclectic cast of characters that make up said family. Without spoiling, I'll just say that her family grows again this season with, so far, 1 new addition to the roster.
If I had to bring up any "negatives", if I'd even call them that, is the whole thing that happens during the first couple of episodes with a character called Yufufu. Original source readers will likely have far more context and understanding, but to me, the whole thing is just... a bit weird? I can't really say much more without spoiling those episodes, but I personally found it an odd mix of both cringey, yet still wholesome.
So far so good - 7/10 as a preliminary score.
